Edo Imbroglio: Governor Obaseki Nominates Omobayo Godwin as New Deputy

In a swift response following the impeachment of Philip Shaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State. The Edo state Governor, His Excellency  Godwin Obaseki has nominated Omobayo Godwin as his new deputy. The announcement comes amidst a backdrop of political tension and speculation.

Omobayo Godwin’s inauguration is slated to take place later today at the Edo State Government House in Benin City. Anticipation is high as friends and well-wishers have already begun to gather at the venue in anticipation of the swearing-in ceremony.

As it stands, the politicking thickens as the embattled former Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu who is widely known as a big fish in the politics of the state is yet to make any official statement.
