Just In: Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi Empowers Constituents in poultry farming.

In furtherance of his effort towards alleviating the present economic hardship on most members of his constituents, it was reliably gathered that the Senator representing IFE/IJESHA at the Red Chamber Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi had once again performed one of his numerous representative functions. And the effect which of course is joy and hope is palpable on the people’s faces.

Recall that barely a month ago, it was reported that Senator Fadahunsi fulfilled many of his promises to some women group in his constituency. He was said in that report to have doled out agricultural materials and equipment to aid them in their subsistence farming while equally not leaving out some artisans. The artisans just like the farmers were provided with equipment to support their occupation and improve their livelihood.

Earlier today, our correspondent at Ilesha in Osun State had gathered that the Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi had repeated his quest for capacity building within Osun East Senatorial District by sponsoring 60 members of his constituency in poultry farming. And Available to witness this empowerment event of the 60 persons selected from Osun East were some of the officials of SMEDAN, Small And Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria. They had come to supervise the training and as well ensure that the trainee’s were well taught on the pre-requisite or tidbits of poultry farming.

HERALDERSTIMES correspondent spoke with the consultant in charge of the training Mrs Victoria Oluwaseun Oyewusi who revealed that she had been directed by the Distinguished Senator Fadahunsi to ensure that the 60 beneficiaries drawn from his constituency and who incidentally were the first batch to be empowered on poultry farming be taught everything needed to run a productive poultry farming.

” As you have heard from the opening address of this training, the participants here are those to benefit from the first batch, while those for the second and third batches would be called upon in no distant time. The training is in different modules, the theoretical and the practical aspects. We have highly skilled and resource persons on board to teach on the introductory aspect, feed concentrates of poultry, as well as Housing and Vaccination,” she added.

” I would also like to say unequivocally that the Senator had made provisions in the form of start-up grants for all the beneficiaries in the ongoing poultry farming workshop. And at the end of their training, courtesy of Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, they will be handed over to the beneficiaries,” she further maintained.

Moreover, Mr Wole Aofolaju, one of the legislative aides to the Senator and who was in attendance had charged the participants to see the training as an avenue to be more financially stable.

In his remark, he maintained that, “poultry farming is a lucrative enterprise, and I would urge you all to pay rapt attention to what you will be taught. As you all know, no knowledge is lost. I know you have one form of occupation or the other. But if I may tell you, venturing into poultry farming after this training won’t be a wrong step. It would rather better enhance you and avail you other alternative means of income, when better explored”

In her reaction to this, one of the participants Mrs Irekiigbe Adebunmi from ORIADE Local Government expressed her profound appreciation to Senator Fadahunsi. She on behalf of fellow beneficiaries thanked him for the privilege to be counted worthy in the scheme of things.

“Apparently, we know, that people are many out there to be reached. It’s my belief that gradually it will cut-across every category, and I can tell you, as for all of us here, we shall all be good ambassadors, by way of proclaiming this gesture the Senator extended to us. We are highly indebted to the Senator for the start-up grant that has been given to each of us that participated in this training. May all the good aspirations of Senator Fadahunsi be accomplished. Amen,” she extolled.

Also caught in the joy, one Mrs Alirat Oyekanmi from Ife Central spoke with our correspondent. In her visible display of gratitude, she lauded Senator Fadahunsi for having brought about the training and for their benefit.

” our instructors who had put us through all it takes to venture into poultry farming business are all top-notch and very vast in their discipline. Let me also use this medium to further pass a vote of confidence on the pedigree of the consultant in charge of the training in person of Mrs Victoria Oluwaseun Oyewusi, who had guided us through in the course of this training. I thank her for her words of encouragement, and also for rendering an upright service, which was very much unlike some of the stories making the rounds about some empowerment programmes within the State. She fed us enough with both knowledge and vision and I can say with the service rendered, she had distinguished herself among her contemporaries. And by extension, she had further increased the great and credibile works of Baba Fadahunsi.
