“…Urges the antigraft agencies to beam its searchlight into the NEFGAD’S nefarious high-handedness which is becoming inimical to the very fabric of  well meaning sociopolitical organisations in the country”

A group of civil society organization, Concerned Northern Youths Advocacy Forum has asked the antigraft agencies among others to investigate the nefarious engagement of the Network For The Actualization of Social Growth And Viable Development, ( NEFGAD).

This call for urgent public awareness was made by the Group at a news conference in Abuja on Sunday, with the aim to equip the generality of the public about the fraudulent activities of the NEFGAD.

Excerpt of the Statement issued by the group reads in part:

“We, the Concerned Northern Youths Advocacy Forum, have been inundated with a plethora of information which is unbecoming of a self-acclaimed organization with the acronym, NEFGAD, that has been defrauding innocent Nigerian citizens, including members of the Nigerian Senate, House of Representatives, and other organizations, of their hard-earned money”.

“We, therefore urge the Federal Government and its agencies, including:

– The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

– Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

– Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC)

– Other sister agencies

to swiftly investigate NEFGAD’s activities and put an end to their fraudulent schemes before they cause further damage to Nigeria’s financial security” The Group Stated.
