OSUN PDP BILLBOARDS VANDALIZATION: AN ATTEMPT TO HEAT UP THE POLITY— SAYS ENGR AWOYEYE CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION.
The campaign organization of Engr Jeremiah Abiola Awoyeye an House Of Assembly candidate for Ife central under the umbrella of Osun state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has issued a press statements today in Ile-ife,
today condemn in its entirety the vandalization of his party gubernatorial candidate billboards in the state.
The press statements made available to HeraldersTimes reads in part;
“THE @IREWOLE TEAM, a campaign organization for Engr Jeremiah Abiola Awoyeye has been inundated with emerging reports of the vandalization of our gubernatorial candidate Sen. Ademola Adeleke’s Billboards within Osogbo the State Capital, and in some parts of Ile-ife metropolis.
On a swift assessment tour to assess the level of damage on those erected facilities of publicity, we–to our great dismay–have confirmed everything. Therefore, we are deeply concerned as to how politics could be taken to this awful extent. However, we are going to handle this as a mature political party in order not to heat up the polity. Moreover, the people of our dear State in their numbers are for the emergence of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the next Executive Governor of Osun State
As a politically conscious organization–after credible intelligence gathering–we are not unaware that these arsonists and unscrupulous elements that perpetrated such dastardly act on our campaign facilities in the State are an extraction of the All Progressive Congress.
We as a law abiding campaign organization condemn this shameful approach of the ruling APC, because modern politics has transcended this crude manner they have displayed in recent times.
We call on the Commissioner of Police in the State, and all other security agencies to smoke out those individuals who are behind this mayhem, and subsequently bring them to book to serve as a deterrent to others forthwith.
We hereby reassure our teeming supporters in the State to be calm and law abiding. No matter their intimidating approach to issues of political harmony and peaceful coexistence in the State, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel”.
