President Tinubu Announces Key Appointments for Gas Infrastructure Fund (See Full List)

In a move to bolster Nigeria’s gas sector, President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the formation of the Governing Council for the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF). This council will be housed within the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

The appointed key figures are:

Chairman of MDGIF Governing Council – Minister of State, Petroleum Resources (Gas)

Executive Director of MDGIF – Oluwole Adama

Secretary of MDGIF Governing Council – Joseph Tolorunshe

Chief Executive of NMDPRA – Farouk Ahmed

Representative of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)

Representative of the Federal Ministry of Finance

Independent Member of MDGIF – Amina Maina (North-East)

Independent Member of MDGIF – Edet David Ubong (South-South)

Independent Member of MDGIF – Tajudeen Bolaji Musa (South-West)

President Tinubu has explicitly charged these appointees to execute their responsibilities with unwavering commitment to transparency, discipline, and patriotism.
