In tandem with the renewed hoped agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Nigerians from all walks of life.  Recently, it was learnt that Mr. President had a closed-door meeting with Governors within the extraction of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Abuja to reveal an ambitious plan aimed at reshaping the nation’s security architecture. This strategic move involves the establishment of three specialized police formations, reflecting his commitment to fortifying various economic sectors.

In his address, President Tinubu stressed the need for a dedicated marine police force to protect Nigeria’s extensive marine economy. “We have a big marine economy, and I do not see why we should not have the marine police,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the nation’s marine resources.

HeraldersTimes gathered that the President’s vision also encompasses solid mineral protection, where he emphasized the creation of a specialized police force to keep scavengers at bay. “We will have the same in solid minerals to keep the scavengers away,” he stated firmly, highlighting the urgency of securing this sector against unauthorized activities.

Furthermore, President Tinubu expressed his commitment to addressing security challenges holistically, extending his proactive stance beyond land and sea. “The deployment of forest guards is being considered with better training, modern technological gadgets, and weapons,” he revealed.
